About the Lab

Zwick-Roell pendulum impact testing machine is used to assess the impact energy of a material. The Charpy impact test determines how the material’s resistance to impact, changes with temperature, from ductile at higher temperatures to brittle at lower temperatures. This test involves a high-strain rate test that evaluates material’s toughness by measuring the energy required to fracture a notched sample
