In this lab, students operate a mechanical ventilator using its pressure control and volume control settings to investigate how different lung models respond to ventilation. By connecting the ventilator to neonatal, pediatric, and adult mock lungs, students assess and compare lung compliance and observe how changes in pressure and volume affect airflow and lung expansion. The setup also includes oxygen tanks with pressure regulators to simulate real clinical conditions.
