SNC1W Terrariums
Here’s a picture of some students terrarium that they made for the ecology unit. Students will observe their terrarium throughout the course of the unit, ask good questions and engage with the scientific method.

Here's an activity that you can use in your chemistry classroom. This was introduced in PED4125, the senior chemistry teachable class.
Here’s a description of the lab and some photos of what students will observe. This is a particularly fun lab because you see a drastic colour change from yellow to blue as you reduce pressure in the syringe.
SNC1W Space and the solar system
We had students build a model for the solar system. Students developed their understanding of ‘scale’ and quickly realized that the solar system was so big that they needed to go out in the hallway.
Here’s a video taken of their final product, you can see the “planet guards” that had to protect our model from being destroyed.
