June 2025: Two wonderful talks were given at this years CSC conference by Ph.D candidates Elly Walsh and Marcus Diamante. Great job team!

June 2025: PanTHERA CryoSolutions Inc. was recognized by GlycoNet as the Most Successful Start-Up Company of this year. The award was accepted by Dr. Ben at this years GlycoNet conference.

July 2024: Dr. Ben received the Service Appreciation Award at CRYO2024

November 2016: Congratulations to Vanessa Musca (M.Sc) for successfully defending her thesis.

June 2016: Congratulations to Jennie Briard (Ph.D) for successfully defending her thesis in June! She has since accepted a postdoc with Peng Wu at Scripps Research Institute.

January 2016: Congratulations to Malay Doshi (Ph.D) for successfully defending his thesis in January! He has since accepted a position at Paraza Pharma Inc.

Fall 2014: The Ben lab welcomes three new graduate students: Jessica Poisson (University of Ottawa), Madeleine Adam (UNB), and Vanessa Musca (University of Ottawa).

January 2014: Congratulations to Chantelle Capicciotti (Ph.D) for successfully defending her thesis! She now moves to the University of Georgia to complete a post-doc with Dr. Geert-Jan Boons. We wish her all the best.

November 2013: Congratulations to Matt Alteen (M.Sc) for successfully defending his thesis! We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

May 2013: Kyle McClymont (University of Ottawa) has joined the lab as a graduate student.

January 2013: Stephanie Abraham (McGill) has joined the lab as a graduate student.

September 2012:  Two new graduate students have joined the lab: Thomas Charlton (Lakehead) and Ibrahim Aboud (Ryerson).  

July 2012:  Dr. Mathieu Leclere, a longtime member of the Ben Lab, has recently accepted a position as a research scientist at OmegaChem in Québec City.  We wish him all the best.

June 2012:  Congratulations to former group members John Trant (Ph.D.) and Taz Cheema (M.Sc) for sucessfully defending their theses this spring.
