Welcome! We are located in the Department of Biology at the University of Ottawa, in Canada’s beautiful capital city. We are grateful to live, work, and play on the ancestral territories of the Algonquin Anishnàbeg peoples. Our mission is to explore the biology and biotechnology of plant cell walls, with a focus on the phenolic biopolymer known as lignin. Our research laboratories are equipped for work in molecular biology, plant tissue culture, analytical chemistry, and much more.
