I teach German language and culture, intercultural studies, and theatre. My research interests are centred around intercultural relations and engaged arts. My previous research and publications include work on 18th-century travel writing, relations between Germany and India, and the Faust theme in Canada. Currently, I am researching the uses of Bertolt Brecht’s work in Canadian theatre and culture (see the online database and exhibition site Brecht in/au Canada) and intersections of arts and hope.
