Bio:

Isabel completed her BSc in Biochemistry in the French Immersion program at the University of Ottawa in 2023. During her undergraduate studies, she started working at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in Dr. Phillippe Thomas' lab. This is what inspired her to do a Master's in Biology in the Chemical and Environmental Toxicology program at uOttawa.

Outside of her studies, Isabel enjoys hiking, running, and playing sports.

Research Project:

Isabel’s research focuses on comparing the blood, plasma, and fecal metabolomic fingerprints of wood bison with the overarching goal of developing a non-invasive method for assessing wild wood bison health. Specifically, she is looking to identify fecal metabolite biomarkers that can be used to assess stress.
